Claims can be a stressful time. But, at Jim Blau Insurance, we can help you navigate the process and make things smoother, overall. To accomplish this, we have compiled a listing of some simple things you can do to help yourself and save more time and money in the long run:

IMPORTANT

If there are no injuries, take pictures of the accident scene.

Take pictures of other vehicles involved and license plates. Look for and identify any witnesses, then give that information to the police and your insurance company.
Also, if the accident is not your fault, take pictures of the other driver. 

MORE IMPORTANT

On any claim that you are not sure about, talk to Jim for advice on how to proceed before filing a claim!

Duties After a Loss:

Your policy contains specific duties required after an accident or loss. These duties may include:

  • Notifying your insurer as soon as is practical (note "More Important" note above)
  • Notifying the police in case of a theft or an auto accident
  • Protecting your property from further damage
